• What Is Child Find?

    Child Find is a component of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004 (IDEA ’04) that requires states to locate, identify, and evaluate all children with disabilities, ages birth through 21 years, who are in need of early intervention or special education services. 

    The Arizona initiative for child find is referred to as AZ FIND.

    If you are concerned about your child's development, please call or contact the following: 
    Birth to 2 years 10 1/2 months: Make an online referral at www.azdes.gov/azeip. For more information, call 602-532-9960.
    Age 2 years 11 months to age 5: Please call our Early Childhood Learning Center at 520-876-0045 for more information or to schedule a Child Find appointment.
    For students in Kindergarten to 8th grade: Please contact your child's school of attendance or the Office of Student Services at 520-876-3244.
